7th–8th–9th Grade and Little Raider Football Camp – During the camp, the Cedar Ridge coaches will be teaching the important fundamentals related to football on offense, defense, and special teams. Arduino Design and Build Summer Camp at TechShop – During this five-day camp, participants will learn how to build, program, and experiment with Arduino boards, and then access TechShop’s laser cutters to build an interactive project with their board.
Projects include basic soldering techniques and soldering electronic “through-hole” components for electronic printed circuit board assembly (PCBs). The second half of each day will be spent guiding each camper through designing a project to be completed by the end of the week using the skills that they have learned. Students who take and successfully pass this course will be certified to use the laser cutters at TechShop. This one-week Summer Camp is designed for kids ages 12–17. This five-day camp introduces budding hackers to the all-powerful Arduino board, which is incredibly versatile, yet accessible, even if you have no prior electronics experience.
